Discover the magic of lamp work glassblowing in this beginner-friendly class! You'll learn the basics of working with a torch to melt and shape glass rods into beautiful decorations, pendants, and small sculptures. No experience needed—just bring your curiosity and creativity. We'll guide you step-by-step and make sure you leave with something cool you made yourself.
** This is a 2-hour class for beginner's $65
Please arrive at your scheduled class a few minutes early to fill out applicable paperwork and receive assigned safety glasses.
Liability waivers and emergency contact forms must be filled out in order to participate in class. These forms will be provided upon arrival, prior to your scheduled class.
Must be at least 13 years old to register. Students age 13-17 must have a guardian present and parental consent form signed.
Requirements:

Shoes must have closed toes and heels - no open shoes allowed.

No loose sleeves from the elbow down or long dangling necklaces/bracelets.

Tops and/or sweaters must be zipped, buttoned, or closed while around the working area

Long hair must be tied back

Please come to class fed and hydrated - standing is required for the duration of the class for optimal safety. (A stool may be provided to lean on if needed for medical reasons)
Recommendations:

Cotton or natural fiber clothing recommended. It’s best to avoid synthetic clothing as it could melt in the case of an accident.

It is highly recommended that you bring water to drink

If your class is scheduled on a particularly warm day, even with our A/C set to 68° the studio can reach temperatures of 80°+ with all of the torches and equipment running. On cold days, it can be rather chilly in the studio. It is recommended that you dress in layers so you can remove or add as necessary.
Free street parking will be available to all students in the front of the building. There is typically ample parking available on our block.
If a student arrives to class inebriated, they will be asked to leave, for safety purposes. Students will not receive a refund in this case.
If a student needs to cancel or reschedule for any reason, 5 days prior notice is needed, or their money will not be refunded. Only one reschedule will be allowed if requested within the appropriate time frame.
If Stone Arch Glass Studio needs to cancel class for any reason (including: Emergencies, Minimum number of students not reached, or any other reason) the student will have the option to reschedule into a future class or receive a refund.
Items from class will be available to pick up 2-3 business days after your scheduled class.
