Full Intro to Glass Blowing - Lamp Work (6 HRS)

***IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOURSELF: Please include the person's name who you are signing up + their email and phone number in the "notes" section at checkout. We need this information for the roster. Email and Phone number will only be used in cancellation situations. If you're registering a minor, we only need the minor's name. 

Please also ensure the person who you're registering has read all of the class policies and requirements. They're listed below but also will be sent with the confirmation email.

Requirements:

• Please arrive at your scheduled class ~10 minutes early to fill out applicable paperwork and receive assigned safety glasses. 

• No sandals or open footwear in the studio - shoes must have closed toes and heels.

• No loose sleeves from the elbow down or long dangling necklaces/bracelets.

• Tops and/or sweaters must be zipped, buttoned, or closed while around the working area.

• Long hair must be tied back.

• Please come to class fed and hydrated - standing is required for the duration of the class for optimal safety. (A chair may be provided to lean on if needed for medical reasons)

Class Policies:

Liability waivers and emergency contact forms must be filled out in order to participate in class. These forms will be provided upon arrival, prior to your scheduled class. 

Students age 13-17 must have a guardian present and parental consent form signed.

If a student arrives to class inebriated they will be asked to leave, for safety purposes. Students will not receive a refund in this case.

If a student needs to cancel their registration for the class, 3 business days' notice prior to the scheduled class is needed or their money will not be refunded. Only one reschedule will be allowed if requested within the appropriate time frame. Being that the class size is a maximum of only 6 people, we ask that you try to ensure your availability for that date before registering and to cancel/reschedule for emergencies and medical reasons only.

If Stone Arch Glass Studio needs to cancel class (including Emergencies, Minimum number of students not reached, or any other reason) the student will have the option to reschedule into a future class or receive a refund.

Recommendations:

• Cotton or natural fiber clothing recommended. It’s best to avoid synthetic clothing as it could melt in the case of an accident.

• It is highly recommended that you bring water to drink.  We do have a fridge in our staff break room with a filtered water dispenser to refill water bottles.

• If your class is scheduled on a particularly warm day, even with our A/C set to 68° the studio can reach temperatures of 80°+ with all of the torches and equipment running. On cold days, it can start out rather chilly in the morning at the studio. It is recommended that you dress in layers so you can remove or add as necessary.

Other Useful Info:

There will be a lunch break between 1pm-2pm. All students are asked to leave the premises to find/eat lunch nearby. We do not have an appropriate space for students to be eating lunch on-site, and when students are present through the lunch break it hinders the teacher's ability to have a proper break for lunch as well. 

Free street parking will be available to all students in the front of the building. There is typically ample parking available on our block.
